The Economist Group Charitable Trust choose Children in Crisis

In February, The Economist Group Charitable Trust awarded a grant to Children in Crisis to support our work in Afghanistan.  The money will be used to develop and run, for one year, a community education centre in Deh Murad Khan, Kabul.  This centre will provide education for some of the city’s most vulnerable children and our staff will work with communities and families to help them to support these children in the future.

Mark McKeown, chief executive of Children in Crisis said:

“It is great to have support from The Economist Group for our work.  Our programmes in Afghanistan are vital as so many children did not go to school during the war.  It is our aim to re-build their lives by providing them with a safe and secure place to learn."
