Fundraising Tips and Ideas

Fundraising for Children in Crisis can be a great deal of fun and often as rewarding as the challenge/event itself!  By raising funds for Children in Crisis through a challenge or holding an event, you will be helping to support our project work in the eight countries that we work in.

Fundraising Tips and Ideas

When you register for any of Children in Crisis' challenges or contact us regarding holding an event on behalf of our charity, we will provide you with a fundraising pack jammed full of ideas.  The team at Children in Crisis will also always be on hand to provide you with advice and support to encourage you throughout your fundraising.

Fundraising can be fun!  Here are a few ideas we came up with to jump start your imagination:

  • Clear out those long ignored bedroom drawers and hold a jumble sale!
  • Get your local primary school involved, and hold a fashion show for the kids (and their parents).
  • Set up an online sponsorship page on justgiving.com, and invite everyone you know - at least a few of them will sponsor you!
  • Take over your local pub or community centre for the evening, and hold a quiz or concert.
  • Do you work in a high-rise building? You could set a week to use the steps instead of the lift and get people to sponsor you.
  • Hold a sponsored silence, or save your hair for charity. Carry sponsorship forms with you wherever you go, you never know who would like to support you!
